Is the .img file still valid?

Hello, I have a problem: I download the .img samplerbox file, and I use Raspberry Pi Imager v1.8.5 to write it to my micro SD card. I insert the card into my Raspberry Pi 3B+. I connect speakers via the mini-jack port (tested) to the Raspberry, power it on, and then connect a keyboard: Akai Lpk25. And nothing. No sound. The LEDs are blinking. What’s happening? This is really just the basic setup though...

I would try plugging in a screen and computer keyboard to make sure that you can login and that everything is starting up ok.

headphones and monitor speakers worked for me and I used Etcher to write the image.

Z - do you have access to another midi controller? I thought the Akai was one of the minis that didnt work?

I saw a note last year, and as soon as I started using a different controller it worked well.
